About Me
I am Pamela Desin, a professional life skills counselor, mentor, and guide. I have worked in public, private, and government sectors. I have noticed a progressive loss of soft skills in the workplace, resulting in less productivity, increased absenteeism, workplace violence, and disengagement of employees. Chronic stress, both professionally and personally, has resulted in less ability to manage time, problem solve, and work as a team, resulting in the destruction of cohesive work environments where employees can thrive. My workshops are foundational for learning not only how to communicate with others and build stronger relationships, but also how to better focus on self-care to become a more productive employee. The concepts of the plate, ladder, and circle teach time management and organizational skills, goal setting, and handling adversity. These models assist in decision-making and prioritizing in both professional and personal areas of life.
The one-hour workshop is about the person as an individual, and provides concepts and strategies to navigate the soft skills and how to get along with others. The one-day workshop focuses on the whole individual, as both a person and an employee, and how to deal with different personality types in the workplace. The two-day workshop includes everything from the one-day workshop, with the added bonus of the individual being part of a team, with exercises to strengthen the understanding of different viewpoints and lenses. Strategies for compromising and negotiating solidify the concepts of team building for better comprehension and recall. I created these workshops to help people understand themselves and others so they can thrive in the workplace, leading to higher productivity, reduced loss of time, and better workplace environments. These workshops are for anyone, everyone, and especially… you.
